COLOR GUARD

 

The Color Guard consists of a four-person team: Color Guard Commander who is sometimes the National Flag bearer, NJROTC Flag bearer, and two guards. The Color Guard uniform consists of the Khaki work unirform to dress blues. The flag bearers wear a flag carrier and web belts. The two guards carry standard military M1903 Drill Rifles that are detailed and chromed. The Color Guard performs opening ceremonies by presenting the National Colors at all home varsity football and basketball games, community service commitments, musical activities, honor organizations, and they participate in local parades by marching with the unit. The weekends are devoted to competitions against other schools in the area. The Color Guard practices after school like any other drill team. Representing pride and honor by bearing the colors earning the salute from bystanding cadets.
